Arnos Vales Cemetery is a wilderness close to my Bristol home, but it is a fascinating place, designed as a Victorian garden cemetery but neglected for many years. It is now a fabulous place to visit and the Arnos Vale Trust look after the trees, the graves of historical and cultural significance.

The tangled brambles make a fine setting for a ghost story and the previous story in the anthology from Louise Gethin is inspired by the same cemetery.
