Fresh Fiction is a night celebrating the short story. Fresh Fiction sets a prompt - this time it’s the sea and writers pen original stories and if they are chosen get to read out their work to an invited audience.
Come along and listen to an evening of short stories on the theme of The Sea. Stories are chosen by a panel to create an entertaining evening where you can sit back and appreciate stories.
We will have roses on the tables for you to give to the writers.

Fresh Fiction Short Stories Theme: Open Mic
Grace set up Fresh Fiction Short Story Nights in 2023 to champion short story writers and the short story form in Somerset. Events take place bi-monthly.
At April’s Open Mic event we are inviting writers to bring along a story to share. There is no vetting of stories and all are welcome. Just make sure you bring your best work! Stories must be under 7 minutes reading time and we will interrupt you if you run over!

If we have more writers than slots we will draw names out of the hat for a slot. Arrive at 7.00 pm to sign up.
Bring along your best short story to read aloud to our audience.
Everyone is welcome.
