Has Dorothy Died? is a creative non-fiction piece published by Paper Nations at The Great Margin, after a call for stories written during the 2020 lock-down. It was written white-hot at the start of the pandemic in the UK.

The move from past to present time in the story is deliberate to add tension and reflect on the difficult theme of uncertainty in the story. As I was writing it, we were beginning to hear stories of what was happening inside Care Homes and it made terrifying reading.
